Completely hand made in our shop from quality birch and walnut.  They are hand cut.   They are fun, and great for any wall in the house or cottage!    They are approximately 9"x10". 

An inuksuk is a stone landmark or cairn built for use by the Inuit, Iñupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik, and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America. These structures are found in Northern Canada, Greenland, and Alaska. Inunnguaq means “imitation of a person,” and is a stone sculpture that is shaped to look like a body or person and has spiritual meaning with practices related to it. The inunnguaq is the emblem of Canada’s Vancouver Olympics. Varying in shape and size, the inuksuit have ancient roots in Inuit culture and may have been used for navigation, as a point of reference, a marker for travel routes, fishing places, camps, hunting grounds, places of veneration, drift fences used in hunting, or to mark a food cache.
